There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening thatis translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how valuable it is, nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep the channel open. You do not evn have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased... there is no satisfaction at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, ablessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others. Martha Graham to Agnes DeMille

        Nelson Mandela

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be. You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, We consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Nelson Mandela From his 1994 Inaugural Address
